Obituary for Luis Alberto Colon

Luis Alberto Colón passed on Thursday, November 22, 2018, at the age of 76, with his wife and children at his side at Westchester Medical Center. He was a resident of Monroe, New York. He also lived in Airmont New, York, The Bronx, Brooklyn, and Manhattan.
Luis was born July 23, 1942 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to the late Celia Maria (Sylvia)Ortiz and late Heriberto Colón. His family and friends called him Louie.
Louie is survived by his wife Hilda Colón (Ponce) and their son Louis. He is also survived by his children from his first marriage Alexandria Santiago and her husband William, Timothy Colón and his wife Maria, Teresa Valentin and her husband Wilfredo, Cynthia Lucas and her husband Pedro, Richard Colón and his wife Dawn. Also survived by his daughters Maria and Jessica Rodriguez, and son Luis Alberto Colón Jr., sister Paquita Colón, 24 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
He started his working career as an Usher in a movie theater and Cab Driver. He was also involved in the Catholic Church and was Presidents of the CYO during his late teens and early twenties. He later moved on to work in the Grocery Industry where is spent the rest of his working career (delivered groceries, Stock Clerk Assistance Manager, Co-Manager and Territory Manager). He was well known and loved in the Grocery Industry. Louie loved his wife & children and loved to dance.
