Laura (Nigro) Tarantino, 88, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019.

Laura was born in the Bronx where she was a lifelong resident of the Throggs Neck section.

She dedicated her life to raise her family and especially loved her grandchildren.

Laura loved knitting and crocheting, and enjoyed making sweaters, hats, and Christmas decorations. She loved all holidays, especially Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Her favorite was Christmas, and she was very well known for her cooking, baking, and decorating. She will be remembered for her many different variations of Christmas cookies that she made for her family and friends. Laura always included everyone and never left anyone out. She always looked forward to her Atlantic City trips.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony, who passed away on January 29, 1998.

Survivors include her loving sons: Robert Tarantino, and Michael Tarantino and his wife Lourdes; her dear sister, Josephine Stone; and her four cherished grandchildren: Christopher Tarantino and his wife Liana, Victoria Tarantino, Lisa Murata, and Michael Tarantino.
She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. at Schuyler Hill Funeral Home, Bronx, N.Y. Her Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Frances de Chantal RC Church, 2962 Harding Ave., Bronx. Interment: St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx.
