Andrew “Bob” Francis Massa (Bullet) was a proud Bronx resident his entire life. Bob was born on November 1, 1926 to Angelina and Gaspar (Harry) Massa. He is pre-deceased by his sister Marie. He married the love of his life, Sheila O’Sullivan on February 14, 1953 and they were married 50 years before her death in 2003. Together they raised 8 children, Robert (Patrice), William (Emilia), Daniel (Bernadette), Nancy (Joseph), Richard, Joseph, Bridget (Michael) and Donald. He was a loving and proud grandfather of 14 who gave him much joy: William, Tina, Kimberly, Andrew, Kristen, Joseph, Daniel, Caroline, John, Maura, Michael, Dana, Daniella and Richard and a great- grandfather to Emma Jean Montaldo.
Bob graduated from James Monroe High School and served his country in WW II. After his Honorable Discharge from the US Navy, he met and married Sheila and they started their life together in the Parkchester section of the Bronx. The family enjoyed wonderful summers at Castle Hill Beach Club where he played and excelled in multiple sports. Bob was an avid Brooklyn Dodger fan, enjoyed playing competitive street basketball at PS 119 park into his 60’s and continued his daily exercise regimen into his 90’s.
